GALILEO (GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online) is an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. A virtual library, GALILEO provides access to information resources that includes over 100 databases which index thousands of periodicals, journals and newspapers. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories and government publications.

GALILEO Access From Outside the Library

GALILEO is available from within the library,from home, work or school. Some of GALILEO's databases are publicly accessible, though many of GALILEO'S databases require a password. From inside of the library click on the link .

Steps to access GALILIO using your PINES card:

1. Go to the PINES catalog - use this link: PinesSmall.png
2. Click on “My Account.”

3. Enter your library card number and password.
NOTE: (If you do not have or know your password you must visit your local library before proceeding. Your PINES password will only be given to you and you must present yourself at the library with your library card to get your password.)

4. Once logged in to your PINES account, click on "GALILEO" at the bottom of the screen and you will be authenticated and transferred to the GALILEO web site so that you can begin using GALILEO's resources.

(You can apply for a library card, in person, at the Covington Branch as well as any other PINES library. You can also apply for a card in a click at Library Card Application. Once completed print it out and bring it in at your convenience.)
