Newton County Library System is a single county library system comprised of three facilities, located 35 miles east of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The city of Covington is the county seat of Newton County and has a reputation as one of the most picturesque and historic towns in Georgia. Often referred to as “Hollywood of the South,” Covington has become a popular shooting location for many feature films and television series.
